About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator & Transformer Supervisor to join our team in East London. As a key member of our maintenance and operations team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians and electricians, developing and implementing maintenance schedules, and ensuring the smooth operation of our generators and transformers. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of technicians and electricians in the maintenance and operation of generators and transformers
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for generators and transformers
- Monitor the performance of generators and transformers and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of necessary parts and equipment for maintenance and repairs
- Conduct regular inspections of generators and transformers to identify any potential problems and address them in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance and repair activities
- Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and maintenance reports
- Train and mentor new technicians and electricians on proper maintenance and operation procedures for generators and transformers
- Communicate effectively with property managers and other team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance of generators and transformers
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in generator and transformer technology to make recommendations for improvements to our systems
Requirements
- Technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical engineering preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and operation of generators and transformers
- Previous experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours and be on-call for emergency situations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Qualifications
- Technical degree or certification in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred)
