About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a Packing and Dispatch Superintendent to join their client in Port Shepstone. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the packing and dispatch operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of products to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate packing and dispatch operations
- Manage a team of packing and dispatch staff
- Ensure orders are packed accurately and timely
- Develop and manage systems and processes.
- Ensure all work carried out complies with legislation and quality systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001)
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to ensure availability of products
- Maintain compliance with quality, health, and safety standards
- Optimize packing and dispatch processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Address any issues or delays in packing and dispatch operations
- Coordinate with logistics providers and ensure timely delivery of products
- Collaborate with other departments to meet customer requirements and resolve any packing and dispatch issues
Requirements
- BSc Supply Chain Management or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years experience in management
- Experience in Plant Operations
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Financial understanding with prior experience in budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Warehouse management will be advantageous
- Knowledge of the packaging and dispatching industry a must
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of quality and safety standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficient in using computer systems and software
