East London: HORTICULTURE FARM MANAGER

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS 5 years hands-on experience in growing plants, preferably in a horticultural or agricultural setting. At least 6 years of experience working with labour in South Africa, with a strong understanding of local labour dynamics and regulations. Fluency in Xhosa is essential for effective communication with team members. Excellent operational and organizational skills, with a proven track record of managing complex farm activities. Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting, and maintenance of horticultural crops. Manage and supervise farm labour teams, ensuring compliance with South African labour laws and promoting a positive work environment. Implement efficient organizational strategies to optimize production, resource allocation and workflow. Handle operational challenges and high-pressure situations with composure and strategic decision-making. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality and sustainability.
