About the Role
Profile Personnel is seeking a dynamic Junior Spares Salesman to join our client’s team in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, providing excellent customer service, and developing product knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with customers (e.g., repair shops, dealerships, and mechanics) to understand their needs for automotive spare parts.
- Provide accurate product information, recommend suitable products, and generate sales quotes.
- Assist with the order process, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding parts, availability, pricing, and order status.
- Develop a good understanding of the automotive spare parts catalog and their applications in different vehicle models.
- Stay updated on new product offerings, trends, and competitor products in the market.
- Maintain accurate customer records and orders.
- Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring product availability for orders.
- Support the sales team in achieving set targets and contribute to the overall sales strategy.
- Track and report on personal performance and progress toward sales goals.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with new and existing customers.
- Follow up on potential sales leads and ensure the resolution of any customer issues.
- Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment.
- Assist senior sales staff with marketing, promotions, and other sales-related activities.
Requirements
Basic understanding of car parts and the automotive industry is required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer skills are expected.
