About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in East London. As a maintenance technician, you will be responsible for performing planned and preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment, as well as predicting maintenance needs and communicating with production teams. If you have a strong background in mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and robotics, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Perform planned and preventative maintenance and repairs to machinery and equipment
Predict deterioration and excessive wear on machinery, equipment, and plant that requires major repairs
Report delays due to additional faults and problems identified during maintenance or repairs
Assist with manufacturing, refurbishment, or modification of existing machinery and equipment as required
Assist with installation and commissioning of refurbished, modified, or new machines

Requirements

Grade 12 or Matric
Certification as qualified Millwright/Mechatronics
Must be computer literate
Experience as a qualified tradesman, preferably in the automotive sector
Experienced in Electrical, Robotics, ASI, and Pneumatics
Understanding of electrical and pneumatic circuits and drawings

Qualifications

Certified Millwright or Mechatronics qualification
