About the Role
Ucoceko Sanitation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer/Electromechanical and Pump Operator to join our team in Port Alfred. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing mechanical and electrical work within water and wastewater treatment plants. With 12 months contract, this is a great opportunity to contribute your expertise and experience to our organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee mechanical operations in water and wastewater treatment plants
- Manage and execute repair projects on pumps and motors
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot pumping systems
- Design, assemble, and test electrical panels
- Conduct electrical and mechanical testing and commissioning
- Prepare basic reports and project feedback
Requirements
- With a Valid Professional Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa
- 5 years’ experience in Maintenance of Water/waste treatment plants
- Qualified Artisan with Trade Test
- 1-5 years’ relevant experience in pump system and mechanical maintenance
- Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants will be an advantage
- Code 10 driver’s license
Qualifications
- Valid Professional Registration with Engineering Council of South Africa
- Qualified Artisan with Millwright Certificate
- Completed Matric
