About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Parts Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our clients automotive parts department in East London. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally sharp when it comes to reconciling stock lists, managing inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth parts distribution.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all parts store operations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular stock reconciliations
- Reconcile supplier invoices against goods received and purchase orders
- Conduct cycle counts and full stock takes
- Monitor stock levels and reorder parts proactively
- Ensure correct bin locations and systematic stock control
- Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, back orders, and returns
- Manage goods receiving, dispatch, and documentation
- Control obsolete and slow-moving stock
- Ensure parts are issued correctly to workshop and customers
- Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient store environment
- Implement and maintain stock control procedures and best practices
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years experience in an automotive parts environment
- Proven experience in stock control and inventory reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components
- Computer literate (MS Excel essential; experience on inventory/ERP systems advantageous)
- Valid drivers license (advantageous)
