About the Role
Prudent HR Solutions is seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team in East London. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Quality Assurance systems to ensure the delivery of high-quality parts to both internal and external customers. With a strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and standards (ISO/TS 16949), you will play a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for quality excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the Quality Management System (QMS) and all related process control documents.
- Identify, implement, and monitor scrap reduction initiatives.
- Ensure quality of incoming components and overall plant output.
- Serve as the primary contact for customer quality issues and respond promptly to complaints.
- Facilitate problem-solving initiatives within the plant.
- Manage and coach subordinates to achieve departmental objectives.
- Analyze measuring reports and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
- Conduct internal audits in compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems and standards (ISO/TS 16949).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes: stamping, welding, and customer processes.
- Proficiency with measuring equipment and report analysis.
- Experience with Quality Core Tools: PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC.
- Leadership and team facilitation capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to write reports and deliver presentations effectively.
Qualifications
- ND/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent; qualified Tool, Jig, and Die Maker (N4) advantageous.
