Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Supervise and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
– Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards
– Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
– Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
– Prepare and present financial reports to senior management
– Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address any accounting-related issues
– Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures
– Provide guidance and mentorship to team members
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
– SAICA OR SAIPA Articles
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
– Strong understanding of financial principles and practices
– Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
– Attention to detail and accuracy
– Eligible to register as AGSA or Professional Accountant is a plus
