- Delivering problem-free production of Group Africa products
- Meeting regional requirements for local content and technical support
- Driving innovative and market-specific product features
- Ensuring safety and in-service reliability
- Providing technical support for discontinued models still active in the African market
- Ensuring all technical development complies with the Product Emergence Process (PEP) manual
Possible Tasks Within This Role
- Releasing Body Department components and systems
- Resolving design-related issues across locally manufactured platforms
- Maintaining accurate records of part levels and production-built software (Bill of Materials)
- Coordinating testing and release processes for components and systems
- Initiating and driving cost-saving measures for components introduced into production
Qualification Requirements
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering
Experience Required
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in developing automotive components (development, improvement, and problem-solving)
Essentials
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels
- Ability to quickly understand complex components, systems, and networks
- Solid technical problem-solving capability
- Project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel
