A leading manufacturing company situated in the Eastern Cape is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Mechanical Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Required to maintain company equipment such as compressors, UHPs and other related mechanical devices and equipment. 
• Maintain company equipment in line with company procedures and industry best practices.
• Fault-find and investigate performance issues and repairs in line with industry best practices.
• Pack and unload company equipment in line with company procedures and guidelines.
• Always maintain a professional and courteous approach to colleagues and customers.
• Supervise positing of equipment; visually inspect and check all sea fastenings.
• Assist with completing paperwork while onsite such as timesheets, daily reports, pre-start checks, and task risk assessments.
• Work closely with the site supervisor on board to make sure that all connections are done as required by the blasting crew.
• Ensure that all safety devices are in place prior to allow the use of the compressor (this is to be done daily).

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
• 4 yeas experience in a similar role
