About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our client in Port Elizabeth. This role is crucial in ensuring that their products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC Milling machines and Wire cutters to manufacture components
- Develop prototypes, verify tests/trials, and manufacture tools to required specifications
- Solve problems and suggest solutions to machining issues
- Perform other assigned reasonable duties
- Maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime
- Optimize CNC programs to reduce cycle times and improve productivity
- Identify and implement process improvements for increased efficiency and productivity
- Quickly identify and resolve technical issues with CNC machines and programs
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: N3 accompanied by Matric Cert
- In-depth Knowledge of CNC Machines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Technical Drawing Software Packages (e.g., Mastercam, Viscam, AutoCAD)
- In-depth Knowledge of Grinders, Lathes, & Milling Machines
- Experience with Fanuc Controls (for milling machines)
- Mastercam Experience (Minimum of 3 years)
- Minimum of 3 Years Experience Operating CNC Milling Machines
- Ability to Use Basic Measuring Instruments (e.g., Vernier caliper, micrometer, dial indicator)
- Understanding and Ability to Read Engineering Drawings
- Basic Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Programming in G-Code & Mastercam
