About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in the Eastern Cape region. As a key member of our automation and electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing motor control centres (MCC’s), setting up complex PLC hardware configurations, and ensuring seamless project planning, installation, and commissioning support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design motor control centres (MCC’s)
- Setup of complex PLC software systems (Siemens)
- Setup of interfaces to various devices
- Project planning, installation, and commissioning support for installations
- Mechanical, pneumatic & paint related service and project activities on paint and sealing robots
- Build good business relationships with customers related to service activities
- Site safety implementation during projects and service work
- Attend site meetings and project meetings
- Provide technical assistance during production support time (breakdowns)
- Verify and compile data records of all test readings
- Meet project deadlines
Requirements
- Minimum National Diploma Electrical / B.Eng. Mechatronics
- 2 – 5 Years’ experience in Automation Mechanical, Electronics and Electrical Troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of Electrical Processes
- Ability to work shifts, weekends and overtime
- Excellent communication skills
- Good presentational skills
- Quality Focus & Team player
- Driver’s License and own transport essential
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma Electrical or Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics
