Job Summary
As the sole warehouse staff member on-site, you’ll be responsible for the full warehouse function, from receiving and stock management to dispatch. You’ll oversee inventory valued at around R4 million and maintain a clean, well-organised, and efficient facility. As the branch grows, you’ll take the lead in developing the warehouse team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the receiving and dispatch of stock via couriers and customer collections
- Pick, pack and dispatch orders accurately and on time
- Unpack and shelve stock following deliveries
- Conduct rolling stock counts and assist with full stock takes
- Oversee returns, credit notes, swaps, and stock adjustments
- Maintain general housekeeping and warehouse organisation
- Oversee facility maintenance
- Supervise warehouse staff as the team expands
Requirements
- Matric is essential
- Minimum of 6 years’ warehouse experience, ideally in the FMCG or PPE sector
- Proven experience managing inventory and warehouse processes
- Proficient in MS Office, ERP system experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Stable work history with minimal job-hopping
- Physically fit and able to meet the demands of a hands-on role
