About the Role
Dunmarsh Investments is seeking experienced Debt Collection Agents to join our team on a municipal portfolio for the City of Ekurhuleni. As a key member of our debt collection team, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding municipal accounts and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect outstanding municipal accounts on behalf of the City of Ekurhuleni
- Engage debtors telephonically, via email, and SMS in a professional manner
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements in line with mandate rules
- Capture accurate notes and updates on the collections system (Swordfish experience is an advantage)
- Ensure compliance with the National Credit Act and Debt Collectors Act
- Meet and exceed monthly collection targets
- Maintain excellent client service and ethical conduct
Requirements
- Minimum 35 years debt collection experience (municipal collections will be an advantage)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Target-driven with proven collection results
- Ability to work under pressure
- Computer literate
- Clear ITC (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Ekurhuleni municipal billing (advantage)
