Hire Resolve is currently working with a leading construction company in Gauteng and they are seeking an Intermediate Civil Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of construction projects and ensuring cost control measures are implemented effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit bids and tenders for construction projects
• Manage and control project costs, including monitoring and reporting on budgetary allocations
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare cost estimates
• Assist in the procurement of subcontractors, suppliers, and materials
• Assess and analyze variations and claims
• Prepare and submit progress claims, valuations, and final accounts
• Maintain accurate records and documentation related to cost management
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure effective cost control

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, with a focus on civil projects
• Strong knowledge of civil infrastructure principles, practices, and construction methodologies
• Experience working on both GCC and FIDIC contracts would be advantageous
• Experience in cost estimating, quantity take-offs, and bill of quantities preparation
• Proficient in relevant quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
