Johannesburg: Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities: Install, maintain and repair electrical and automation systems for the greenhouse projects. Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve technical issues and ensure there is optimal performance of the system. Commission, calibrate and test the new systems. Maintain documentation for all work performed. Ensure compliance with the relevant codes, safety standards, and company policies. Collaborate with the other engineers and project manager to resolve any issues. Requirements: Certificate, diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering. Matric certificate. 3 years in a similar role. Three-phase wireman’s license. Experience with control systems, PLC’s or VFD’s. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals. Must have good communication skills in English and Afrikaans. Must be a team player and have the ability to multitask. Willing to travel within South Africa and Africa. Drivers license. Problem solving and organizational skills. Computer literate.
