About the Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all technical, operational and administrative aspects of property maintenance in Durban.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC and structural systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, emergencies and guest-related maintenance requests.
- Supervise staff and ensure quality workmanship.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs and compliance checks.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, costs and asset performance.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage stock levels of tools, equipment and consumables.
- Source, order and track supplies and spare parts.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
- Supervise maintenance staff and allocate tasks effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to ensure high standards of work.
- Schedule shifts and manage overtime requirements.
Requirements
- Qualified Electrician Trade Test (essential)
- Proven experience in property or hospitality maintenance management
