Job Summary
Qualified financial accountant with required for a hotel property in Franschhoek.
The position allows for part-hybrid candidates, ie: 3 days at Hotel Office and 2 days from Home.
Minimum requirements:
-
Minimum 3 – 5 years Financial Accountant experience in 4/5 Star Hotel environment
-
Tertiary degree in finance
-
SAIPA/SAICA accreditation preferred
-
Proficient in ACCPAC
-
Proficient in VIP Payroll
-
Good working knowledge / understanding of Hospitality PMS systems / NEBULA would be beneficial
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excellent Excel Skills
Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.

Transaction Management: Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.

Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits, tax filings, and other financial compliance requirements.

Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze financial performance indicators to identify trends and opportunities.

Departmental Support: Provide financial support and guidance to other departments.

Financial Planning: Participate in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities.

Internal Audits: Conduct internal audits to assess financial controls and identify areas for improvement.

Regulatory Updates: Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
