About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AgriTech Business Development & Sales Lead to join our team in the Free State region of South Africa. As a trusted point of contact for our AgriTech solutions, you will build and maintain long-term relationships with poultry farmers, integrators, and agri-business stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to establish credibility by translating technology into practical farm-level value.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with poultry farmers, integrators, and agri-business stakeholders.
- Conduct regular on-farm visits to understand production systems, operational challenges, and farm economics.
- Act as the primary local representative and trusted point of contact for AgriTech solutions in South Africa.
- Identify, engage, and convert early-adopter poultry farmers and agri-business customers through consultative sales conversations focused on return on investment (ROI), productivity improvements, and operational efficiency.
- Manage the full sales cycle end-to-end, including prospecting, demonstrations, proposals, negotiations, and deal closure.
- Develop reference customers and case studies to support wider market adoption.
- Achieve agreed revenue, pipeline, and customer adoption targets.
Requirements
- Proven experience in agriculture (poultry, livestock, agri-services, agri-inputs, agri-equipment or AgriTech).
- Strong credibility engaging farmers and farm managers in on-farm environments.
- Experience in business development, sales, or account management.
- Ability to manage the full sales cycle and sell through consultative, relationship-led approaches.
