Job Description Responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating technical training programs to enhance Engineering and Maintenance as well as other employees technical skills and knowledge related to manufacturing processes, equipment, and safety procedures. Minimum Requirements Grade 12 / NQF 4 Engineering-related/ Technical Qualification or Trade (Millwright/ Fitter). Minimum 3 years experience in a learning & development PRAGMA Experience & PRAGMA Training/ Proven technical training delivery and design record Some experience in a production/ manufacturing plant Knowledge of production machinery, processes and standards Knowledge of Continuous Improvement/ 20 Familiar with and ideally qualified in Six Sigma/ Lean process Must be fully computer literate with experience in Microsoft 365 tools (Excel, PPT) as well as collaboration tools (SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams). Will be required to work overtime where necessary, including on Duties and Responsibilities Diagnosis of technical training needs to ensure that training solutions are proactive and support the internal training needs of the abattoir in order to ensure food safety audit compliance. Development of learning solutions to support all technical learning needs at the abattoir. Conducts technical annual training and development needs assessment/ skills matrix for the maintenance department. Develops technical training programs and objectives, to address the technical training needs of the abattoir. Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media suited for the audience to be trained. Writing of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) & SWPs (Safe Work Procedures) in conjunction with the engineering/ plant line Ensuring that existing SOPs/ SWPs and written Procedures are up to Draw up new technical training material and modify programs as Responsible for preparing, conducting and compiling technical training materials, conducting classes on installation, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment at the abattoir. Perform technical job observations to ensure training is Ensure that all technical training conducted by you as technical trainer, complies with audit criteria. Administers spending against the allocated technical training Conduct follow-up studies of all completed technical training to evaluate and measure results. Identifying cost-saving opportunities in conjunction with the Industrial Act as Key 15 champion with respect to the responsibilities associated with the Key.
