About the Role
We are seeking an Actuarial Specialist – Microinsurance with a strong background in actuarial science and experience in life and non-life insurance to join our team at Communicate Finance. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on both life and non-life products, combining technical modelling with product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyse, and interpret data for actuarial functions
- Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external audiences
- Analyse mortality, morbidity, and lapse rates (life)
- Analyse key metrics for non-life products such as loss ratios, claim frequencies, and severities
- Support development and pricing of life and non-life products
- Build pricing models and conduct profitability analyses
- Assist with structuring new deals and improving product structuring
- Identify, assess, and manage risks across portfolios
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis (life)
- Evaluate underwriting risks for non-life products
- Ensure adherence to actuarial standards and regulatory requirements
- Prepare statutory reports (life) and ensure non-life product compliance
- Conduct experience studies for pricing, reserving, and risk
- Review historical data to update assumptions for life and non-life products
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar
- Good progress toward Actuarial qualification
- Minimum 3–5 years’ actuarial experience
- Experience in life & nonlife insurance (advantageous)
- Experience in pricing and product development (advantageous)
