About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence (BI) Specialist to join our team at Network Finance in Gauteng. As a BI Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the full development life cycle of BI projects, developing critical management financial reports, and providing training and technical support to end-users.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End BI Development: Lead the full development life cycle of BI projects—from initial issue statement and analysis to design, development, testing, implementation, and ongoing support.
- Financial Reporting & Analysis: Query, analyse, and build critical management financial reports that provide a clear view of business performance.
- Solution Design & Visualization: Utilise the full MS BI stack (including SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, SQL Query, and Excel) to develop the most effective and appropriate data solutions and dashboards for the business.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Independently generate intelligible outputs for a senior audience, including department managers and the executive board of directors. Provide training and technical support to end-users.
- Data Quality & Optimization: Conduct quality assessments of data and reports, perform code reviews, analyse execution plans, and re-factor inefficient code for optimal performance.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis/mining.
- 3+ years of experience in BI report writing with SSRS and Power BI development.
- 3+ years of experience in data warehouse design and developing SSAS tabular models.
- Solid experience and understanding of financial reporting.
- Proven experience in designing managerial-level presentations and reports.
- Advanced understanding of data warehousing concepts.
