About the Role
Mecad Systems is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to join our team in Gauteng. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies, generating leads, and providing exceptional customer service to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop comprehensive strategy for promoting SOLIDWORKS Desktop and 3DEXPERIENCE Cloud products.
- Identify target markets, industries, and customer segments where solutions can create significant value.
- Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to refine the sales approach.
- Utilize various channels to generate high-quality leads through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and attending industry events.
- Engage potential clients to understand their business challenges and showcase how our products can address their specific requirements.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations to potential customers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
- Understand customer workflows, project requirements, and long-term goals to position solutions as integral to their success.
- Manage the entire sales process from initial contact and needs assessment to negotiation, proposal creation, and contract closure.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities.
- Gather feedback from customers and relay valuable insights to product development and marketing teams.
Requirements
- National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Beneficial)
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in the software, CAD/CAM, or similar engineering solutions industry (Desirable)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts effectively
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
