Job Description
- Greeting customers and assisting with any queries
- Opening of Estimates and Job cars for work to be done
- Ensure Estimate goes to client via email and a phone call is make for approval of required within 1 hour of booking or truck arrival for repairs and any alternative to expensive repairs
- Consult with mechanics, foreman or technical advisors regards to repairs
- Check and confirm warranty, service or maintenance plans and if items needing work are covered or need to be billed
- Communicate with parts department to ensure timeous parts availability
- Obtain order numbers and issue go ahead to foreman/technicians
- Update clients on status of vehicles
- Prepare job cards to be invoiced before vehicle is collected/released
- Control the daily Workshop workflow sheet – send out by end of business
- Control Workshop efficient report, hours allocated vs worked
- Control gate-pass book and company policies regarding vehicle movements, IE, NO vehicle leaves without payment
- Adhere to all company policies
- Send Proof of payments to accounts and ensure debtors are loaded and removed
- Responsible for the total customer handling process in the service and repairs area
- Achieve high level of customer satisfaction and confidence in order to increase loyalty and trust
- Generate service business volume (selling parts and labour through interactive reception and upselling opportunities)
- Build and maintain a positive service image amongst customers
- Handle all customer requirements by offering alternative repair solutions and pricing options
- Able to motivate and technically validate and converse with customers on warranty and policy related repairs and matters
- Must be able to handle all customer complaints and issues up to a certain level
- Uses all methods of customer communication, including bookings, phone calls, email and in-person interactions, to schedule and book service and repair appointments
- Follow-up after the service / repair to ensure the customer is satisfied with the work done
- Develop sales leads for future business and forward leads to the sales department
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Min 2 years’ relevant experience within the motor industry at Commercial Vehicle Dealership level
- Team player, friendly and energetic
- Relevant training/qualifications as a Service Advisor or similar role
- Strong understanding of Commercial Vehicle technology and the Automotive Industry
- Computer Literate
- Self-Motivated
- Target/Goal driven
- Extremely good with client relationships (Excellent Customer Service)
- Strong Administration skills
