About the Role
A leading credit risk management firm built on a culture of trust, family, and innovation is seeking a Senior Debt Recovery Specialist to join their Cape Town team. This role requires an individual who balances human insight with automation to drive relentless improvement for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Support Credit Risk Advisors and guide the team to improve customer cash flow and minimize risk through proactive debt recovery.
- Strategic Recovery: Utilize a variety of creative approaches to recover outstanding debt while ensuring constant, real-time communication with customers and stakeholders.
- Legal & Insurance Management: Manage legal files, attend business rescue and liquidation meetings, and oversee credit insurance processes, including claim lodgments and compliance with insurer deadlines.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate debtor financial statements, identify strengths or weaknesses in paperwork, and conduct risk assessment visits to assess recovery viability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build collaborative relationships with attorneys, liquidators, and internal teams to ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Experience: 3 to 5 years experience in Debt Collection or Credit Control.
- Education: An NQF qualification, diploma, or degree is an advantage.
