• Grade 12 (Technical subjects advantageous)
• Draughting Diploma/Certificate (Mandatory) or minimum N4 Electrical
• 3D Design Software Exposure (Solid Edge / Revit beneficial)
• 2 to 4 years’ electrical drafting experience, preferably in HVAC/R, industrial automation, or machine control
• Experience producing wiring diagrams, control circuits, and panel documentation
• Exposure to PLC-based and HVAC/R refrigeration controllers (Carel, Eliwell, Danfoss, Emerson, etc.)
• AutoCAD & AutoCAD Electrical (essential)

Responsibilities

• Develop complete electrical designs for HVAC/R systems
• Finalise system requirements with Engineering team
• Produce detailed wiring diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, and GAs
• Ensure designs meet Client functional, cost, and quality requirements
• Ensure producibility, maintainability, and correct application of standards
• Prepare accurate, complete, and up-to-date electrical drawings
• Issue drawings to Panel Builders and verify BOM accuracy
• Update drawings promptly when revisions occur
• Maintain effective communication with Production and Engineering teams
• Identify design issues early and prevent manufacturing problems
• Support the panel-building process by clarifying technical details
• Review component selections and ensure compliance with standards
• Improve drawing standards, templates, and symbol libraries
• Conduct Supplier research
• Select appropriate electrical components for optimum performance and cost
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and best practices
