About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Technician to join our client’s team in Gauteng. As a key member of the field service team, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, identifying new business opportunities, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Communicate proficiently with customers verbally and via email daily.
- Liaise with customers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Call on existing and new customers, maintaining relationships and growing business with them.
- Identify new prospects and conduct cold calls to potential customers.
- Set and pursue ambitious sales targets and generate new pump sales.
- Grow field service by procuring active service contracts.
- Track previous services completed and encourage repeat service engagements.
- Generate service repair sales for Busch workshops.
- Generate new pump sales, including spares, pumps, and systems.
- Provide on-site problem-solving.
- Install and repair compressors, pumps and systems on site.
- Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with the sales team.
- Complete weekly and monthly reports accurately and on time.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including technicians, engineers, maintenance managers, consultants, contractors, distributors, and end users.
- Provide accurate and consistent feedback to management.
Requirements
- Trade Tested OR National Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/Mechatronics Eng.
- Extensive exp. and knowledge of Air Compressors.
- Min 3 – 5 Yrs. exp. as a Field Service Technician.
- Own transport.
