Job Summary

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12/ Matric (Mathematics)
  • Accounting Diploma

Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge: Accounting Processing and Financial Reporting systems knowledge, exposure and experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices/credits received from procurement department/suppliers onto Accounting system
  • Process all overseas shipments received from procurement department onto Accounting system
  • Ensure all relevant documentation is correct and accurately filed for audit purposes
  • Ensure invoices/credits have matching signed delivery notes & purchase orders or an approved e-mail
  • Attend to internal & external queries regarding supplier payments and/or invoice & credit queries
  • Reconcile/Remit monthly payments due to creditor suppliers per aged payables on Accounting system & supplier
  • statements received
  • Compile monthly payment list for all creditor suppliers due after payment list review is complete and approved
  • Process monthly Roll-forward & process revaluation
  • Load weekly payments for COD suppliers when payment is due, must have matching approved purchase order.
  • Send proof of payment to procurement team and/or supplier once payment released
  • Load creditor payments onto Bank. Send proof of payment with remittance to suppliers once payment released
  • Process payments to overseas suppliers per reconciled amount due
  • Update Cashbook on Accounting system with COD, overseas & creditor payments made
  • Create & manage supplier Vendors on Accounting system. Complete supplier credit applications as needed
  • Monthly reporting
  • Assist with yearly audit in providing necessary documentation when required
  • Backup for processing Job cards
  • Backup for making any additional payments onto Bank when required
  • Other ad-hoc tasks required per FM
