A well-established global engineering and technology group is seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their Johannesburg-based team on a fixed-term, project-focused contract. This is a hands-on, technically strong role suited to a qualified accountant who thrives in structured environments, enjoys digging into numbers, and takes pride in accurate, insightful reporting.

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality monthly reporting, ensuring IFRS compliance, and supporting the broader finance function with analysis, investigations, and technical input. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate, timeous monthly management accounts and group reporting packs
• Ensure correct tax treatment of transactions in line with SA tax legislation
• Maintain and manage fixed asset registers
• Perform detailed expense analysis and investigations
• Support internal control frameworks and governance requirements
• Assist with ad hoc technical accounting queries
• Ensure accurate financial data captured within accounting systems
• Deliver analysed, decision-ready financial information to management

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Qualified CA(SA)
• Completed audit articles (3–4 years)
• 4–5 years’ experience in a structured finance or customer services environment advantageous
• Strong working knowledge of IFRS and South African tax legislation
• Experience with management accounting and financial analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Acumatica and Pastel Payroll exposure advantageous
• Valid driver’s license
