About the Role
The Community Family Empowerment (CFE) Programme is a transformative initiative aimed at creating safe and nurturing environments for children and young people in Gauteng. As a Literacy Facilitator, you will play a crucial role in implementing and supporting school-based interventions under the CFE Programme, with the goal of promoting psychosocial wellbeing, improving learner performance, and strengthening support structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementing and supporting school-based literacy interventions
- Tracking and reporting on programme progress
- Providing literacy tutoring or learning support to adolescents and youth
- Facilitating after-school programmes or psychosocial interventions
- Collaborating with Social Workers to ensure comprehensive support
Requirements
- Matric / NQF Level 4 qualification (essential)
- NQF Level 6: Diploma or Advanced Certificate (strong advantage)
- Diploma or Degree in Education, Literacy, Youth Development, Social Sciences or related field
- Valid South African Drivers License (Code 10) (essential)
- Minimum 2 – 4 years experience working with adolescents and youth in school or community-based education programmes
