About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Agent to join our construction team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from start to finish, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
- Manage and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure they are following project plans and meeting deadlines.
- Monitor and control project budgets, making sure costs are kept within agreed limits and reporting on any variations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Prepare progress reports and keep detailed records of all project activities.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with building regulations, contract specifications, and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Agent in the construction industry, preferably within the built environment sector.
- Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.
