Job Description

Icon Healthcare Holdings is seeking a Medical Billings and Collections Clerk who will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial patient billing transactions, the integrity of data captured on the Billing system and the collection of outstanding accounts. Key Responsibilities: Adherence to Process (Billing and Collections Clerk’s Processes) Compliance with System Controls (Billing and Collection Clerk’s Processes) Complete, accurate and proactive billing of patient accounts Reconciliation of patient accounts Processing of Accounting transactions Prompt investigation into queries Queries resolve with medical aids Debt collection and confirmation of receipt of funds Allocation of payments Update of patient records and status Distribution of patient statements Customer service delivery and satisfaction Customer/Internal communication while maintaining good relationships Perform ad-hoc task as required and requested Senior certificate qualification (Matric) 2 years related experience in an oncology environment either as Authorization Clerk and/or Medical Receptionist or Debtors Clerk Elixir or medical aid billing software experience Computer literacy (Excel; Word) Fully Bilingual Must be able to work systematically and accurately under pressure Ability to work independently and in a team environment Attention to detail High level of accuracy and timeous communication Deadline driven Good interpersonal skills Customer service orientation The Company’s approved Employment Equity plan and targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process aligned to the Groups Employment Equity strategy.
