About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our client’s team in Gauteng, South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality management, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee shop floor operations and ensure efficient production processes.
- Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Administer Safety, Health, and Environmental requirements in accordance with OSH Act regulations.
- Plan and organize work schedules, including setting up machinery and managing CNC machines.
- Develop and implement effective problem-solving strategies to address operational issues.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production targets and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements
- A proven track record in a production environment with at least 5 years’ experience as a Foreman/Supervisory position.
- Diploma or equivalent; higher education such as an Associate’s Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Qualified Artisan: Fitter & Turner or Boilermaker.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings.
- Proven track record of shop floor experience.
