As Senior Credit Controller, you will become an integral part of a dynamic finance team, owning the credit control process from end to end. This is a role for someone who loves structure, thrives under pressure and gets a kick out of keeping the balance sheet squeaky clean.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and manage credit risk for new and existing customers, ensuring sound vetting processes are in place
• Drive timely collection of customer payments, reducing overdue balances with a proactive and collaborative approach
• Conduct daily credit risk assessments, escalate issues and manage suspended orders
• Maintain accurate customer master data and oversee the application, allocation and reconciliation of payments and credit notes
• Support adhoc financial projects and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the credit control function

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Tertiary qualification in Finance or Credit Management
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Credit Control role within the FMCG industry
• Proven experience managing credit control processes for chain stores, wholesalers, distributors and buyers
• Strong background in open item and balance brought forward reconciliation
• Proficiency in Syspro (essential)
• MS Excel – Intermediate to Advanced
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation abilities
• Analytical mindset with sharp attention to detail and accuracy
