Duties:
 

• Manage the full accounting and month-end function for the life insurance entity.
• Maintain accurate financial records for policies, premiums, claims, and related transactions under IFRS 17.
• Prepare, review, and present IFRS 17-compliant financial statements and disclosures.
• Analyse data to highlight key financial trends and business insights.
• Reconcile financial data and support external and internal audits.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Educate stakeholders on IFRS 17 requirements and reporting changes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance reporting processes and systems.

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
 
 
Qualifications:
 

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

 
Experience:
 

• Completed SAICA Articles
• 3–5 years’ post-articles experience.
• Proven Insurance industry background with hands-on IFRS 17 exposure.
• Strong track record in month-end close and preparation of financial statements.
• Advantageous: Experience in company tax calculations within the insurance sector.
