Degree or BTech in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering OR
Relevant Trade Test (Electrician / Millwright / Diesel Mechanic or related technical trade)
3 – 5 years’ experience in technical sales within:
o Battery systems (industrial / traction batteries)
o Lift equipment
o Materials handling equipment
o Industrial spares
o Forklifts / Lift trucks
Own reliable vehicle (essential)
Valid driver’s license ( essential )
Proven track record in new business development ( essential )
Business Development (Hunter Focus)
Identify and secure new business opportunities within assigned region.
Cold calling, site visits, and canvassing within industrial, warehousing and logistics sectors.
Develop new accounts and expand market share.
Generate and follow up on quotations.
Technical Sales & Solutions
Conduct technical assessments and recommend appropriate battery, spares or lift equipment solutions.
Provide product demonstrations and technical presentations.
Interpret client specifications and propose engineered solutions.
Liaise with service and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
Account Management
Maintain and grow existing customer relationships.
Ensure after-sales follow-up and customer satisfaction.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends.
Technical Competencies
Strong understanding of:
o Industrial battery systems
o Electrical and mechanical components
o Lift equipment and materials handling solutions
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Commercial acumen with margin awareness
CRM reporting and pipeline management
