Job Title: Transport Manager

Reporting to: General Manager

Type: Permanent

Location: JHB – Eastern Suburbs

Duties and Responsibilities:

Dispatch & Route Management

• Plan and dispatch all trucks daily, with schedules prepared in advance.
• Communicate dispatch changes promptly to drivers.
• Optimise routes to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Driver Leadership & Communication

• Provide leadership and guidance to drivers.
• Maintain constant communication and address challenges proactively.
• Promote safety awareness and continuous improvement.

Fleet Monitoring & Control

• Track vehicles using tracking systems and monitor cameras.
• Report incidents or accidents promptly.
• Fleet Maintenance, Tyre & Mechanical Management
• Oversee truck and trailer maintenance and tyre management.
• Manage mechanical issues and maintenance schedules.

Compliance & Administration

• Ensure driver and vehicle licences are up to date.
• Maintain accurate transport-related records and reporting.
