About the Role
The Utility Operator role at Empire Recruitment is an exciting opportunity for a dependable individual to contribute to the support of essential plant services and operational standards in a structured environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high housekeeping standards, adhering to Environmental, Health and Safety standards, and operating assigned equipment in compliance with departmental safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with operational tasks within the General Services Department
- Adhere strictly to Environmental, Health and Safety standards
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across the plant
- Support treatment and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste
- Assist with waste segregation and recycling programmes
- Support the disposal of laboratory samples
- Assist with painting of containers and skips across the plant and residential areas
- Cover aluminium fluoride throughout the plant as required
- Operate assigned equipment in compliance with departmental safety procedures
Requirements
- High School Certificate
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in any industrial or operational environment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Safety-focused mindset
- Reliable, disciplined and able to follow procedures
