Roof Truss Assembler

Location: George, Western Cape
A Roof Truss Assembler is responsible for assembling pre-cut timber components to create roof trusses according to design specifications and quality standards. The role involves reading blueprints, operating machinery, and ensuring that the assembled trusses meet structural and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:
Study and understand technical drawings and blueprints to determine assembly requirements.
Material Preparation and Handling:
Select and inspect timber components for quality and accuracy.
Measure and cut timber components to required sizes using saws and other tools.
Assembly:
Lay out truss components according to design specifications.
Assemble trusses using nail plates, fasteners, and other hardware.
Operate hydraulic presses and other machinery to secure joints.
Quality Control:
Inspect assembled trusses for accuracy, structural integrity, and quality.
Make adjustments as needed to meet quality standards.
Safety and Maintenance:
Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear at all times.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Perform basic maintenance on tools and equipment.
Skills and Qualifications
? Experience in timber or construction industry preferred
? Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
? Strong attention to detail and accuracy
? Proficiency with hand and power tools (e.g., saws, drills, nail guns)
? Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials
