About the Role

The Logistics Store Controller position at Rectitude Recruit is a critical role that requires a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the day-to-day operations of our electrical and mechanical logistics fleet. The ideal candidate will be driven by results, committed to meeting deadlines and targets, and possess excellent problem-solving skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely delivery of products to customers
  • Communicate with drivers, clients, and other personnel to address any issues or concerns related to loading and offloading of trucks
  • Conduct physical truck inspections to determine preventative maintenance, repairs, and damages
  • Monitor driver abuse, wear and tear, tyre usage, and take necessary preventative actions
  • Attend to breakdowns and accidents, put alternative plans in action to ensure delivery takes place with minimum inconvenience to customers
  • Chair weekly toolbox talks with the team, give advice and motivation, address any concerns or problems that may arise
  • Collaborate and communicate information related to shipments with relevant internal teams and customers
  • Live monitoring of Fleet
  • Driver training and Onboarding
  • Prepare and review drivers incentives monthly
  • Present weekly and monthly reports to Managers and directors
