Job Description
Hire Resolves client is looking for a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager with an engineering qualification (NQF 7 or above) and 3-4 years of bottling/beverage maintenance managerial or team lead experience to join their team in Germiston, Gauteng. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing operational projects within the maintenance sector, ensuring that infrastructure maintenance initiatives are carried out successfully within agreed timeframes, cost, and scope. The role also includes managing ad hoc maintenance requests, ensuring prompt issue resolution in line with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
Responsibilities:
Operational Project Management

Oversee maintenance projects, ensuring successful execution within agreed budgets and timelines.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to optimize plant efficiency.

Monitor and evaluate maintenance activities to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
Maintenance Management
-
Ensure optimal levels of plant and equipment availability.

Uphold equipment and safety standards.

Manage and oversee all maintenance requests to ensure timely resolution.

Maintain strong relationships with contractors and suppliers.

Provide expert advice and technical assistance to resolve maintenance challenges.
Operational and Financial Management

Participate in operational planning and budgeting.

Drive continuous improvement by optimizing operational processes.

Ensure compliance with financial and operational policies and procedures.

Control costs and mitigate financial risks.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

Enforce adherence to food safety policies and procedures.

Ensure all employees comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and contamination control.

Ensure all visitors and contractors comply with facility safety protocols.

Implement and maintain a safe work environment, reducing workplace hazards.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelors Degree (NQF Level 7) in Engineering (Essential).

Experience: 3-4 years of leadership experience in maintenance management, preferably in FMCG bottling.

Technical Skills: Lean Manufacturing experience (preferred).

Software Proficiency: MS Excel, SAP, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, Email.
