About the Role
The Training Centre Manager / General Manager role is a critical leadership position within our startup organisation, requiring an experienced professional with a strong technical background and proven senior leadership skills. We are seeking a seasoned expert to manage our training centre operations, drive business growth, and lead our team to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical training delivery and operations
- Oversee staff management and team leadership
- Ensure quality assurance processes are in place
- Develop and implement effective scheduling systems
- Monitor budgeting and operational performance (P&L)
- Foster strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Requirements
- Red Seal Trade Qualification (Machinist / Toolmaker or related technical trade)
- Minimum 10 years post-trade-test experience
- Proven progression into senior leadership roles (e.g. Senior Facilitator, Head of Department, Operations Manager)
- Experience within a TVET College, OEM Technical Academy, or accredited private training provider
- Strong knowledge of QCTO and/or MERSETA training frameworks and compliance requirements
