Job Description
The Management Accountant will play a critical role in supporting financial decision-making, driving cost efficiencies, and partnering with operational teams across manufacturing, services, and aftermarket functions. The role requires a commercially minded finance professional who can translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts and variance reports
- Partnering with operational teams to provide financial insights and cost control measures
- Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Margin analysis across product lines, services, and aftermarket revenue streams
- Inventory and cost accounting, including standard costing and stock analysis
- CAPEX tracking and investment appraisal support
- Continuous improvement of financial processes and reporting systems
- Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with internal controls and group policies
- Assisting with financial modelling and strategic decision-making initiatives
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- BCom Accounting + CIMA
- 3–6 years’ experience in a management accounting role
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, mining, or industrial environments is highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and operational finance
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP advantageous)
- Proven ability to work with large data sets and translate into meaningful insights
- Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement skills
- High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-driven mindset
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, technically driven environment
