Griekwastad: Qualified, Experienced Diesel Mechanic – Mine Experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Diesel Mechanic with mine experience to join our team in Griekwastad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and repairing mining equipment, as well as a valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mining machines
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with Caterpillar, Komatsu, JCB, Bell, Hitachi, and Volvo equipment
• Ensure all machinery is in good working condition to meet safety standards
• Collaborate with the operations team to optimize machine performance and minimize downtime

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
• N3 Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic Trade Certificate
• At least 5 years’ experience on mining machines
• Valid Code B Driver’s License
• No criminal record
• Medically fit and able to pass a medical examination
