Heidelberg: Fleet Controller – Junior (Night Shift)

About the Role

The Fleet Controller – Junior role at our Heidelberg depot involves tracking various trucks during the night shift, receiving and offloading chrome, and executing instructions from the Planner and Senior Controller. This position requires a strong focus on fleet management, including productivity, wages, fuel consumption, route planning, and task assignment to drivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Tracking various trucks during the night shift
• Receiving and executing instructions from the Planner and Senior Controller for every night shift
• Assisting with various aspects of fleet management (productivity, wages, fuel consumption, route planning, etc.)
• Assigning and ensuring execution of tasks to drivers
• Tracking orders and deliveries
• Constant monitoring of driver and vehicle performance and efficiency
• Finding ways to improve productivity

Requirements

• Matric
• Computer literate
• Excel (compulsory)
• Minimum of 1 3 years experience in fleet management (controller)
• Own Transport
• Sober habits
• Ability to work night shifts
• Willingness to work long hours, public holidays, and weekends
