About the Role
The Assistant Lodge Manager position at Bright Placements (PTY) Ltd in Hermanus requires a skilled and experienced hospitality professional to join our team. As an integral part of our lodge’s management, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless guest experiences, efficient operations, and effective management of daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front office operations, including guest relations and check-in/check-out processes
- Supervise housekeeping staff to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization
- Oversee food and beverage operations, including inventory management and menu planning
- Provide exceptional guest service and hosting ability in a remote lodge environment
- Develop and implement effective problem-solving and decision-making strategies
- Maintain accurate financial records, budgets, and operational reports
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management
- Tourism Management
- Business Administration (advantageous)
- Additional certifications in Food & Beverage, Front Office, or Housekeeping are beneficial
- First Aid certification (advantageous, often required in remote lodges)
