Job Title: Patissiere Chef – Creative Pastry & Dessert Section Location: Hermanus, Western Cape Contract: Full-time, Permanent Salary: R13,000 – R18,000 per month (DOE) Description: We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established restaurant in Hermanus for an experienced and innovative Patissiere Chef. This is a creative, hands-on role for someone who is passionate about pastry, desserts, and plating, and who can manage all aspects of a busy pastry section in an upmarket restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities: Run and manage the pastry section, ensuring smooth daily operations Develop, design, and execute innovative desserts and plated sweet dishes Create new recipes and seasonal dessert menus in collaboration with the culinary team Oversee pastry prep, production, and service for à la carte and special events Ensure high standards of presentation, taste, and consistency Manage pastry stock, ordering, and section hygiene Train and mentor junior pastry staff Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards Requirements: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef/Patissier(e) in a restaurant or hotel environment Proven ability to design and create original plated desserts and pastries Strong organizational and section management skills Excellent attention to detail and creativity in presentation Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and passionate about pastry Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required What We Offer: Competitive salary (R13,000 – R18,000 DOE) Full-time, permanent role in a beautiful coastal location Opportunity to shape the dessert offering at an established restaurant How to Apply: Please send your CV, a brief cover letter, and a portfolio of your plated desserts to info@ Apply Below .
