About the Role
Bright Placements (PTY) Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our team in Hermanus. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for managing a specific section with minimal supervision and delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a specific section of the kitchen (Larder, Veg, Grille, Pastry, Pass) with minimal supervision.
- Prepare and cook high-quality dishes using expert knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff to achieve excellent service standards.
- Maintain high levels of food safety, hygiene, and stock management.
- Work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver results.
Requirements
- Former culinary qualification with at least 5+ years of professional kitchen experience or relevant experience in a professional kitchen environment.
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie, preferably in lodge hotel fine dining environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and management skills.
