This intimate riverine safari lodge is set within a malaria-free Big 5 reserve in KwaZulu Natal, offering guests a tranquil bush experience surrounded by indigenous forest and open savannah. It is known for its relaxed atmosphere, strong wildlife encounters, and a focus on authentic, immersive safari experiences.

Candidate Responsibilities:

• Conduct guided game drives and bush activities for international guests
• Host guests and ensure a safe, informative, and engaging safari experience
• Interpret wildlife, ecology, and conservation to a high guiding standard
• Assist with bush clearing, road maintenance, and general lodge maintenance
• Support the lodge team with day-to-day operational and upkeep tasks as required
• Uphold safety standards, guest service excellence, and lodge values at all times

Core Criteria:

• FGASA Level 1 minimum
• DEAT registered
• Valid PDP and driver’s licence
• Valid First Aid Level 1 (minimum)
• Previous guiding experience essential
• Basic maintenance skills advantageous
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a remote bush environment

Package:

• This is a live-in position
• Meals provided while on duty, with groceries supplied for off-shift periods
• Provident fund (compulsory) and gratuities
• Work cycle: 3 weeks on / 1 week off
• 18 days annual leave per year
